SUMMARY:Debbie Haggman Celebration of Life
DESCRIPTION:On February 2\, our community lost a member\, Debbie Haggman. Debbie was an active part of the art scene in Blaine\, and helped create and participated in many art shows. Her beautiful watercolors were well recognized and awarded. She also taught watercolor classes at the Jansen in Lynden. Her health kept her from full participation in BAC\, but her heart was always dedicated to enriching community through the arts. We will miss her for many reasons\, but through her legacy of paintings\, we can remember her with joy. \nDebbie’s paintings are on display at The Great Blue Heron through March 2. \nPlease join us in her celebration of life this Sunday\, March 2 at 4pm\, at Semiahmoo Golf & Country Club in the Palmer Room.

DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday the 6th – 5:30pm to 8pm – for the 1st Friday Downtown Art Walk.  \nThe “1st Friday Downtown Art Walk” is intended to be a community social event; bringing together members of the general public\, downtown Blaine businesses/purveyors\, and members of a wide variety of the Arts communities in Blaine (music\, performance\, visual\, etc.) to enjoy a casual evening of strolling downtown\, partaking of food/drink and various art displays/exhibitions.  As stated in the title these events will recur regularly on the first Friday of every month. (yes\, year round!) \nThis month\, Drayton Harbor Oyster Company will be grilling oysters in the Gallery parking lot to celebrate the ARTS in Blaine with us. DESCRIPTION:The Art Festival is open to the public.  The Festival is comprised of a variety of different genres of artist displaying and selling their art. Located in Marine Park\, this fun event will include music and food vendors. In addition to the artists on display in Marine Park\, the Festival includes two artist open studios – Shawna Morris & Joseph Kinnebrew\, and 6 artists showing at the Blaine Art Gallery.\nDates / Times\nSaturday\, 27th – 10:00 – 5:00\nSunday\, 28th – 11:00 – 4:00 \nLocation\nThe festival is at the Blaine Marine Park behind the whales (see map below)\nFree parking is provided in the open field to the west of the park\nThere will be four Porta Potties (one ADA) \nEntertainment\nDJ Michael will be there 11:00-1:30 on Saturday and 11:30-1:00 on Sunday\nMichael Dayvid will be there 2:00-4:30 Saturday and 1:30 -3:30 Sunday \nActivities\nFood Trucks \nSaturday\nAlchemy Creamery\nStella Sopra (Italian)\nLife is Good (Pizza)\nWTF \nSunday\nDougs Burgers\nWTF\nAlchemey Creamery\nLumpia Luv (Filipino) \nBeach Cat Brewery will have a beer and cider garden in the Amphitheater both days.
