As a kid growing up in New England, sports meant everything to me. I was able to play competitive soccer, squash and tennis in High School and College, and have served as a youth soccer and hockey coach for most of my life. My Mother warned me, however, that I should have a fallback interest just in case I had a career-ending injury. I began singing in my church choir, and in school/college choral organizations. My Mom was right!! My competitive athletic career ended during my third year in college with a knee injury. I quickly turned to music, and it has been a cornerstone in my life ever since. Marriage (now 55 years), two daughters, and graduate studies followed, and I wound up as a career educator. I retired in 1999, found it totally boring, and returned to working in various capacities (Currently, Blaine Harbor Music Festival) with and for kids, which is where I am today. I am honored to be associated with the Blaine Arts Council, helping artists share their talents with the Blaine Community.
