Teaching calligraphy to new students since 2002 has allowed me to introduce a wide variety of beautiful scripts to aspiring calligraphers: Italic, Foundational, Uncial, Carolingian, Copperplate and other informal styles are all waiting to flow from your fingertips in a dedicated class that will lead you step by step in the process of learning.
Just as a painter uses oil, acrylic, or watercolor, calligraphers use letters as their medium. Lettering style, color, and layout are just a few of the options a calligrapher may utilize to enhance the emotion of an author’s words, making the finished piece a collaboration.
