I am an ex-member of the Whatcom Art Guild and the Whatcom Art Market artist's co-op; my medium is photography. I shoot BW or toned 'pictorial-style images using selective focus and/or Lensbabies; I also digitally paint my photographs with digital brushes, brush stroke by brush stroke. I especially like to create work that evokes memories, dreams, things almost seen or maybe only suggested. I sometimes combine text with my images -- small fictional short-shorts that augment the image and maybe hint at what lies beneath. I think of my images as little prayer flags that fly out into the world saying, look at this; this is important, this has meaning -- pay attention! It's always a joy when someone else 'catches' one of my little flags and agrees.
